End of the Year Washington D.C. Shopping

I recently went outlet shopping with my mom at one the "famed" outlet malls. Potomac Mills. Ever heard of it? Yeah, me neither. I mostly went because it was a rainy day but I found out VS was having their semi annual sale. I got my butt up and hopped to it.

Panasonic KURUKURU Hair Dryer Review

I first came on contact with Panasonic hair tools while I was in Tokyo. I borrowed my friend's Panasonic Nano-e Nano Care Hair Dryer (EH-NA95) and I was completely sold on Panasonic hair tools. I did my research on the different types of hair dryers Panasonic had to offer and was thrilled that they had a dryer with a comb attachment that was reasonably priced. My old hair dryer was falling apart so I had incentive to buy a new one.

August Skincare Wishlist

1. Etude House Collagen Moistfull Firming Eye Cream | 2. My Beauty Diary Facial Mask - Caviar Mask |
3. Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask | 4. The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Light Oil | 5. Cure Natural Aqua Gel
6. Clarisonic Facial Sonic Cleansing MIA 2

I know what you're thinking. These are all Asian skincare products, Kendall. Why? Well, why not. Korean skincare is the biggest and baddest regarding skincare. Period. Household names like Innisfree (my favorite), Etude House, Tonymoly and more are completely dominating my skincare regiment. And let me tell you, guys...I haven't been disappointed with the results.

  1. Eye creams are a must for me right now. I'm 19 with the biggest bags under my eyes from stress and in general just lack of sleep. I have never used eye cream before because I used to think you needed that stuff for when you're like 50 years old and sagging all over but I digress. I'm really hearing great things about Etude House's eye cream and am dying to try it out in my regiment.
  2. My Beauty Diary is a brand I am already familiar with. I hear that using caviar, placenta and snail (mucus) is a big trend in South Korea. I'm skeptical about the placenta thing, but I'm all here for trying caviar and snail.
  3. Every where I go on online asian skincare sites, this product is always the first thing I see on the homepage. Everything Innisfree comes form Jeju Island in South Korea and apparently its au natural ingredients make it a popular brand.....which I can't really argue with.
  4. CLEANSING OIL IS EVERYTHING! Ever since I found out the true purpose of cleansing oil a month ago, all i want to buy is cleansing oil. Cleansing oil cleans up with makeup remover wipes can't and it preps for the cleanser OR it can be a cleanser if you're clean like that. I'm already using the Bioderma Cleansing Oil (which is almost empty btw) and I have no complaints. Keep the cleansing oils comin'.
  5. This product is the hot tamales of Japanese exfoliators. I wish I had gotten it while I was there but of course, I had no idea it existed. It goes on like a gel and rubs off all the dead skin cells she  you message it in. I NEED this product in my life.
  6. Every skin care routine I see on youtube, someone has this tool. I feel like this product could be a great investment for me because the bristles get to where your fingers can't. The only problem is the price. It goes for $150 on the Clarisonic website. I don't know how to feel about that.

What I Bought In Japan (Week 4)

Let me just say that this visit to the GHIBLI MUSEUM was a spiritual experience. I had to physically keep myself from crying, screaming, and overall making dying whale noise. It was like a dream. I am a HUGE fan of Hayao Miyazaki and the Studio Ghibli films. I watched my first and favorite movie, Spirited Away, in 7th grade and I cried. It is such a beautiful movie. Click here to read about my experience.

Two Weeks in Thailand Pt. 2

June 15

Today was a busy day because it was the weekend and this was the only weekend where my sister and I would get to spend the full day together. So first we went out for breakfast. I was trusting my sister to know where she was going but she ended up getting us lost. So I insisted we go back to a mall area. I just wanted something quick to eat so we could start our activites, nothing fancy
like my sister. After that we went to Ekkamai where this huge Japanese-style mall was located. I. FOUND. HEAVEN! I bought some Japanese Magazines because why buy Thai magazines when  I can actually READ Japanese? Happie Nuts and Vivi were among the selection. I even stumbled upon a a maid cafe! It was the only one in Thailand too. Lucky, much. The girls were so nice and even thoguh I knew pictures weren't allowed, I asked anyway. They said no :( No worries, I took a picture of the sign. I was fangirling like a true otaku.
After exploring that mall and all it's treasures we headed to MBK. How do you describe MBK? MBK is flawless (high fives to those who know that reference). Seriously though, MBK is not for everyone. It's a bargain mall. That's really all I have to say about it. There's lots of electronics, pirated DVD's and music, phone cases galore, and amazing food. It's def. a tourist's spot. After that adventure, we got on the BTS and headed toward Saphran Taksin and took the Chao Phraya Express Boat to Asiatique. Asiatique is my second home. Yeah, it takes a long time to get there, bu damn is it worth it. This is the Atlantic Station to Atlanta, the Times Square to New York. Everybody comes here, esp. tourists and on the weekends. It's a hot spot to see. After all the shopping and eating, I was beat and ready to go home to start another day.

Two Weeks in Thailand Pt.1

So here I am in Thailand again and I couldn't have come at a worse time. It will NOT stop raining. I obviously came during the monsoon season. Well, you win some you lose some. Since my sister has to work the whole week, I have to tour the city on my own and let me just say, it's been a breeze. I am so in love with this city and the people. Everyone's so nice and helpful, even though the language barrier is probably the worst of my problems.

NOTE: I didn't take pictures of the first two days because I forgot my camera. Sorry :(

Plane Ride: June 9
It was a 6 hr plane ride from Dubai to Thailand and I just couldn't wait to get there! Here's a shot I took right before landing. I thought the sky looked serene, it put me at peace.

Summer Lookbook and Thailand Haul

As you may know from my previous post, I went to Thailand on Spring Break and I just received the best news. I'M GOING BACK THIS SUMMER WITH MY SISTER!!! WOOOHOOO! This is a graduation gift from my parents. And let's just say, I nearly had a heart attack. This is such a blessing. I love Thailand so much. Maybe my sister and I can go to Singapore, too. Hmmm. Nah. Anyway, I forgot to document what I purchased from Thailand the first time around so I decided to combine my hauls from Dragon Mart and Thailand and put them in one lookbook. Killing three birds with one stone, I'd say. Check out the Youtube video below and photos that show each look.
